What unique aspects of your travel destination do you find most compelling to promote? We’re incredibly fortunate to have such rich stories throughout our small, rural destination! Santa Claus, Indiana, is home to the only Santa Claus Post Office in the world, along with a dedicated volunteer group, Santa’s Elves, who answer thousands of letters each year. Visitors can also walk the very ground where Abraham Lincoln grew up and explore the stunning Saint Meinrad Archabbey, one of only two archabbeys in the country. Plus, with a national park, state park, and a nationally known theme park, there’s truly something for all ages and interests to enjoy.
How do you typically collaborate with writers, editors, and photographers to showcase your destination? We love working with writers, editors, photographers, and content creators to bring our destination’s stories to audiences all over the world! We customize trips to match your interests and encourage you to bring your family along to experience our amenities firsthand. Whether you prefer a thoughtfully curated itinerary or want to explore at your own pace, we’re here to help. And if you can’t visit in person, we’re happy to provide photos, videos, facts, and connections to local business owners for interviews.
What advice would you give to travel journalists looking to collaborate with destination PR professionals like yourself? Reach out—I’d love to hear from you! Whether you’re in the early brainstorming phase or working on an assigned story, I’m here to help however I can. We can collaborate on content ideas, plan visits, or simply chat about what makes this destination special.
How do you ensure that the stories and content generated about your destination remain authentic and engaging for audiences? We work closely with journalists and content creators to fact-check information and ensure accuracy before publishing. If something is off, we reach out to request corrections. It’s important to us that the stories shared genuinely represent the visitor experience. What future projects or initiatives are you most excited about in promoting your travel destination? I’m excited to see our community’s arts initiatives continue to grow! From vibrant murals and various events to a custom-built 20-foot community Christmas tree debuting in December 2025, we’re enhancing our arts offerings to create an even better place to live and visit. It’s an exciting time for our rural community, and I can’t wait to see what will be accomplished.
